We believe you can be Holy and human.

Our Why

Behind every sermon, counseling session, worship set, and leadership meeting is a human being navigating private battles no one else sees. Too often, leaders feel the pressure to appear spiritually strong while silently struggling emotionally.

We’ve been there. The strained relationships, the weight of responsibility, the silent disappointments, we’ve walked through them too.

We’ve needed a safe space where ministry workers could tend to their own hearts, strengthen their emotional health, build resilience, and lead from a place of wholeness.

Now, we’ve created what we once needed.

What We Believe:

  • The Bible anchors and shapes our faith. (2 Timothy 3:16)

  • Boundaries are biblical. (Matthew 5:37)

  • Burnout is not a badge of honor. (Exodus 18:13-26)

  • Jesus mandated rhythms of rest and renewal. ( Mark 6:31)

Our Story

Hi! I’m April Nowlin

I started my journey in ministry over 25 years ago as a bright-eyed, twenty-something youth minister and bible scholar ready to shout Jesus from the mountaintops. I believed in the Church. I believed that serving God’s people would always feel purposeful and life-giving.

What I wasn’t prepared for was the hidden weight of ministry.

Over the years, I encountered what so many who serve experience but rarely name out loud: burnout that crept in quietly, frustration that felt disloyal to admit, and expectations that no one could realistically meet. And in one very dark season, after giving everything I felt I had to give, I told God I was done. I was certain I would never step foot in a church again.

But grace has a way of circling back.

In 2015, I re-entered ministry, this time as a church growth consultant, a Christian Life Coach, and eventually as a staff member once again. I saw the humanity of leaders who were expected to operate like machines. I saw gifted, faithful people quietly drowning under the weight of responsibility while trying to appear strong.

This is why Monday Grace Ministry Care was born. Because Sunday takes a toll, and if we want healthy churches, we must have healthy ministry workers.

Because those who care for the Church deserve to be cared for too.
